UNIFEM: now celebrating thirty years of challenge and change.
Among the most intractable problems plaguing humanity, the oppression of women stands out. Across cultures and continents, grinding poverty and brutal violence are too often the ordinary facts of life. In places where everyone has it bad, women and their children most often have it worse.
For thirty years, the United Nations Development Fund for Women (UNIFEM) has worked to foster women’s empowerment and gender equality throughout the world. Their vital work, often performed at personal risk, continues to change lives, even if it is sometimes one family and one village at a time.
Happy Cog Studios supports UNIFEM’s work. We are honored to have had the opportunity to redesign their site.
