Happy Cog-designed Kongregate: one of Time magazine’s top 50 for 2010.
August 26, 2010
Way back in 2006, we worked with social gaming company Kongregate, helping them devise a plan for world domination. We sat in an apartment in San Francisco with Kongregate’s founders and white-boarded blue sky ideas, functionality, and proposed interactions. We even tossed around ideas for what the site would be called. After that, we set out to architect and design the site, which ultimately launched in October of 2006. You can read about our work together in our case study.
Since then, Kongregate has become wildly successful, as evidenced by the recent sale to GameStop.
The hits keep on coming. Kongregate was just recognized in Time Magazine’s annual “50 Best Websites” list. It once again proves that an innovative idea, coupled with thoughtful design and strategic implementation can improve with age.
