Newmark: Brand Hub

Branded Digital Asset Management

Newmark Brand Hub

Newmark, one of the nation’s largest commercial real estate developers, approached Happy Cog to plan, design, and develop a digital asset management (DAM) tool to accompany a planned brand launch. With several hundred offices across the globe responsible for issuing their own visual communications, a simultaneous rollout was critical to helping Newmark reclaim its visual dominance in multiple highly competitive markets. Moreover, the new extranet acts as an always up-to-date toolkit, ensuring each brochure, presentation, press release, and ad in circulation is consistent with evolving brand standards.

By spotlighting convenience, the hub reduces the sort of friction that typically attends new brand launches. In addition to version control, approved assets are smartly categorized and easily found, and custom collections specific to communication needs can be rapidly and widely distributed. Additionally, the site works just as well on small screens, allowing employees to browse and send files while away from their desktops.

The interface accommodates multiple kinds of information-seeking behaviors. Algolia-powered searches allows for browsing by asset type, category, or individual asset ID.

That employee-facing convenience ultimately extends to the back-end. The tool sits alongside other Newmark web properties within Azure Cloud, including single sign on with Active Directory, eliminating the need for separate user account provisioning. Users can also submit assets for approval within the hub, collaborating on changes with the marketing department through a simple commenting tool.
