Happy Cog redesigned and developed responsive presences for four digital properties under the Black Hills umbrella: Black Hills Corporation (their corporate presence) and three distinct utility providers: Black Hills Power, Black Hills Energy, and Cheyenne Light, Fuel, and Power.
At a time when consumer awareness of energy conservation and environmental safety is at an all time high, Black Hills Corporation provides exceptional services to both customers and investors striving for responsible and safe energy distribution. Philosophically, the web experience needed to include customers as well as investors as core user audiences. Functionally, utility customers need to easily pay their bills, review account information, and discover ways to conserve and reduce the cost of energy. Behind it all, a single content management system (CMS) had to harness massive amounts of content, serving multiple geographically unique and regulatory-distinct websites.
